Ebert just has this hatred for childerens comedy if he saw an episode of any cartoon network show he would probably pee his pants h expresses his opinion which is all right people think hes famous let's listen to him i.e. ASPCA commercials staring such stars as John Goodman (Roseanne) and Sara Mcglocklin (A singer) but thats just my opinion whats yours

.. Yep, that's..that's pretty much it. Well I don't know if he hates all children's comedy, but I think he missed the fact that it was just that. It wasn't supposed to be a grand epic, it was supposed to be a funny and meaningful family film and I think it accomplished that. I think he mostly bashed on it because, let's face it, it wasn't politically correct. It's not surprising though because it is the mind of a child and he's just going by what he's seen in the media. ...Wow I kind of rambled on didn't I?

I actually don't think he has anything against childrens' comedies in general, because unless I'm mistaken, he gave movies like Finding Nemo and Toy Story (I think those were it), good reviews. I'm still baffled as to why they just...completely DESPISED this movie. I mean, they said it was the worst movie they had ever seen up to that time, and they reviewed movies like KAZAAM (Shaq as a RAPPING GENIE? Seriously?). I--I honestly think that most people just don't understand what North was trying to be. I really wish they told us exactly WHAT bugged them so much about it--Though, I guess they'd just say "THE WHOLE MOVIE". But, yeah, they pretty much just said "it was trash" without really giving us reason. But, yeah, North is REALLY tame compared to what's in the media today... I dunno. Yeah, I rambled too. And I don't really know what I just said. EDIT'd: I know not everyone is going to like the same movies, but like I said, I think they were too harsh when reviewing North and they didn't give us reasons why. I think if they would've elaborated more and been a teensy bit more rational in telling us why they hated it so much, it would've been better. Also, I REALLY don't think North deserves to be on their list of WORST MOVIES EVER. Seriously--there are way worse movies out there. I'm not saying Ebert and Siskel were wrong in their review, because, you know, it's their opinion, I can't say that's wrong or anything, but I honestly don't think North deserves to be called "the worst movie of 1994", or even be on a list of the worst movies ever, because--there are way, WAY worse movies out there. At least, even if you don't like the stereotypes or lame jokes, you can agree that at least the music is really, really good, and the atmosphere is pretty cool, right? ....RIGHT?
